About the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence
Founded in 1868, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence is the oldest operating Boys & Girls Club in the nation and the largest in Rhode Island. Clubhouses in Providence and North Providence house state-of-the-art computer labs, swimming pools, and gymnasiums as well as nationally accredited and licensed preschools and kindergartens. Camp Davis in Charlestown, accredited by the American Camping Association, offers children year-round outdoor camping opportunities. Over 7,500 children and youth come to the Clubs for homework help, computer and Internet safety instruction, swim lessons, job/career development and training, organized athletic leagues, and just plain fun!
